James Bond 'to Marry in Next Film', Claims Leaked Plot

The next James Bond film could see the iconic spy turning his back on the secret service to follow his heart.
Not long after the New York Times reported that Daniel Craig would return for at least one more adventure as James Bond, Craig confirmed the decision himself on an episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The only other detail that was uncovered was a planned release date of November 8th, 2019, but this week, a massive leak has potentially spoiled the plot of the movie before a director has even been named. An anonymous source has claimed that "Bond quits the secret service, and he’s in love and gets married," reports PageSix.com, the New York Post's Hollywood news site.
Penned by Robert Wade and Neal Purvis, the screenwriters on all of Craig's Bond films to date, from Casino Royale to Spectre, the film is set to open with a newly retired Bond in "wedded bliss" with Dr Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux), his love interest at the end of Spectre who’s (naturally) rescued by Bond just before the closing credits.
However, it doesn't last long. She gets killed, leading Bond back to the service to avenge his wife's death.
"The film's like Taken with Bond," a source explained to Page Six.
Fans had already guessed that Bond might be getting married in Bond 25, which is due out in November next year. On Inverse.com one said: "Ian Fleming constantly had Bond thinking about settling down in his original books." Fans noted that in both the book and film versions of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Bond is married to Tracy Draco - only for her to be murdered by Blofeld, Bond’s nemesis.
This is not the first time details about the new film have allegedly been leaked. Last month, the Mirror claimed that "the film has the working title Shatterhand," and that the plot will see Bond travel to Croatia, before confronting a blind super-villain.
The 25th Bond film is set to be released in cinemas on November 8, 2019.
